The Eurasian Association of OpenSees (EOS) is thrilled to announce the winners of the 1st EOS OpenSees Research and Innovation Awards. This award was established to recognize and promote excellence in research, development, and innovative applications related to the OpenSees platform.
We were overwhelmed to receive a vast number of high-quality applications from all over the world, showcasing the global impact of the OpenSees community. The task of selecting the winners was a challenging one, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the international jury for the diligent and impartial evaluation.
After a thorough review process, we are proud to celebrate the following individuals for their outstanding contributions to the advancement of computational modeling and structural analysis.

The awards will be formally conferred during the next Eurasian OpenSees Days (EOS) Conference that will take place at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, on July 5–7, 2026.

Best Paper Award
This award recognizes outstanding research that highlights the effective use of OpenSees in addressing complex engineering challenges. A total of €3,000 is shared among the three sub-categories.
Two prizes of €750 each are awarded to Ph.D. candidates who have demonstrated an outstanding application or development of OpenSees in their doctoral research.
These prizes are awarded at the jury's discretion to doctoral submissions of particular interest and include free registration to the upcoming Eurasian OpenSees Days (EOS) Conference that will take place at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, on July 5–7, 2026.
In addition to the main prize winners, the jury has awarded Honorable Mentions to submissions of outstanding quality.
